Warranty
We provide a warranty on our products and construction in accordance with the relevant Hungarian legislation (warranty and guarantee under the Civil Code), under the conditions set out in the contract. For load-bearing structural elements we typically provide a 5-year warranty; the detailed warranty conditions are contained in the contract and the technical documentation.
Frequently asked questions for municipal operators
Hungarian Decree 78/2003 (XI. 27.) GKM places ongoing obligations on the operator — for a public playground this is typically the municipality. The four most common questions are below.
- Which standard must playground equipment and the surfacing comply with?
- Playground equipment must comply with the MSZ EN 1176 series, and the impact-attenuating surfacing under and around the equipment with MSZ EN 1177.
- How often must playground equipment be inspected under Decree 78/2003 GKM?
- Once before it is put into use, by a designated body, and every three years thereafter — this also applies to equipment installed earlier.
- What is the inspection report, and who issues it?
- The document commonly called a commissioning report is officially the inspection report, issued not by the operator or the contractor but by the designated body, both before first use and at every subsequent periodic inspection.
- How long must playground records be retained?
- Under Decree 78/2003 GKM, for at least ten years, together with the supporting documents.
